Psalm 16

Song of Trust and Security in God

¹ Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
² I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
    I have no good apart from you.”^[a]

³ As for the holy ones in the land, they are the noble,
    in whom is all my delight.

⁴ Those who choose another god multiply their sorrows;^[b]
    their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out
    or take their names upon my lips.

⁵ The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;
    you hold my lot.
⁶ The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    I have a goodly heritage.

⁷ I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;
    in the night also my heart instructs me.
⁸ I keep the Lord always before me;
    because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹ Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices;
    my body also rests secure.
¹⁰ For you do not give me up to Sheol,
    or let your faithful one see the Pit.

¹¹ You show me the path of life.
    In your presence there is fullness of joy;
    in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Prayer for Deliverance from Persecutors

A Prayer of David.

¹ Hear a just cause, O Lord; attend to my cry;
    give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit.
² From you let my vindication come;
    let your eyes see the right.

³ If you try my heart, if you visit me by night,
    if you test me, you will find no wickedness in me;
    my mouth does not transgress.
⁴ As for what others do, by the word of your lips
    I have avoided the ways of the violent.
⁵ My steps have held fast to your paths;
    my feet have not slipped.

⁶ I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God;
    incline your ear to me, hear my words.
⁷ Wondrously show your steadfast love,
    O savior of those who seek refuge
    from their adversaries at your right hand.

⁸ Guard me as the apple of the eye;
    hide me in the shadow of your wings,
⁹ from the wicked who despoil me,
    my deadly enemies who surround me.
¹⁰ They close their hearts to pity;
    with their mouths they speak arrogantly.
¹¹ They track me down;^[c] now they surround me;
    they set their eyes to cast me to the ground.
¹² They are like a lion eager to tear,
    like a young lion lurking in ambush.

¹³ Rise up, O Lord, confront them, overthrow them!
    By your sword deliver my life from the wicked,
¹⁴ from mortals—by your hand, O Lord—
    from mortals whose portion in life is in this world.
May their bellies be filled with what you have stored up for them;
    may their children have more than enough;
    may they leave something over to their little ones.

¹⁵ As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness;
    when I awake I shall be satisfied, beholding your likeness.

³ (15-3) К святым, которые на земле, и к дивным [Твоим] --к ним все желание мое.

⁴ (15-4) Пусть умножаются скорби у тех, которые текут к [богу] чужому; я не возлию кровавых возлияний их и не помяну имен их устами моими.

⁵ (15-5) Господь есть часть наследия моего и чаши моей. Ты держишь жребий мой.

⁶ (15-6) Межи мои прошли по прекрасным [местам], и наследие мое приятно для меня.

⁷ (15-7) Благословлю Господа, вразумившего меня; даже и ночью учит меня внутренность моя.

⁵ (16-5) Утверди шаги мои на путях Твоих, да не колеблются стопы мои.

⁶ (16-6) К Тебе взываю я, ибо Ты услышишь меня, Боже; приклони ухо Твое ко мне, услышь слова мои.

⁷ (16-7) Яви дивную милость Твою, Спаситель уповающих [на Тебя] от противящихся деснице Твоей.

⁸ (16-8) Храни меня, как зеницу ока; в тени крыл Твоих укрой меня

⁹ (16-9) от лица нечестивых, нападающих на меня, --от врагов души моей, окружающих меня:

¹⁰ (16-10) они заключились в туке своем, надменно говорят устами своими.

¹¹ (16-11) На всяком шагу нашем ныне окружают нас; они устремили глаза свои, чтобы низложить [меня] на землю;

Exodus 16:23-36 -- New Revised Standard Version

²³ he said to them, “This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Tomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a holy sabbath to the Lord; bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil, and all that is left over put aside to be kept until morning.’” ²⁴ So they put it aside until morning, as Moses commanded them; and it did not become foul, and there were no worms in it. ²⁵ Moses said, “Eat it today, for today is a sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field.  

²⁶ Six days you shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is a sabbath, there will be none.”

²⁷ On the seventh day some of the people went out to gather, and they found none. ²⁸ The Lord said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commandments and instructions? ²⁹ See! The Lord has given you the sabbath, therefore on the sixth day he gives you food for two days; each of you stay where you are; do not leave your place on the seventh day.” ³⁰ So the people rested on the seventh day.

³¹ The house of Israel called it manna; it was like coriander seed, white, and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. ³² Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Let an omer of it be kept throughout your generations, in order that they may see the food with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’” ³³ And Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar, and put an omer of manna in it, and place it before the Lord, to be kept throughout your generations.” ³⁴ As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the covenant,^[a] for safekeeping. ³⁵ The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a habitable land; they ate manna, until they came to the border of the land of Canaan. ³⁶ An omer is a tenth of an ephah.

²⁴ Они сохранили это до утра, как повелел Моисей, и оно не начало портиться, и черви в нем не завелись.

²⁵ – Ешьте это сегодня, – сказал Моисей, – потому что сегодня суббота Господня. Сегодня вы ничего не найдете на земле. ²⁶ Вы будете собирать хлопья шесть дней, но на седьмой день, в субботу, ничего не будет.

²⁷ Некоторые из народа вышли собирать в седьмой день, но ничего не нашли.  

²⁸ Господь сказал Моисею:

– Сколько еще вы будете нарушать Мои повеления и наставления? ²⁹ Запомните: Господь дал вам субботу, и поэтому в шестой день дает вам хлеб на два дня. Пусть в седьмой день каждый остается там, где он есть. Пусть никто не выходит из дома.

1 Peter 3:13-4:6 -- New Revised Standard Version

¹³ Now who will harm you if you are eager to do what is good? ¹⁴ But even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear,^[a] and do not be intimidated, ¹⁵ but in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you; ¹⁶ yet do it with gentleness and reverence.^[b] Keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who abuse you for your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame. ¹⁷ For it is better to suffer for doing good, if suffering should be God’s will, than to suffer for doing evil. ¹⁸ For Christ also suffered^[c] for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, in order to bring you^[d] to God. He was put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit, ¹⁹ in which also he went and made a proclamation to the spirits in prison, ²⁰ who in former times did not obey, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water. ²¹ And baptism, which this prefigured, now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for^[e] a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, ²² who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers made subject to him.

Good Stewards of God’s Grace

4 Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh,^[f] arm yourselves also with the same intention (for whoever has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin), ² so as to live for the rest of your earthly life^[g] no longer by human desires but by the will of God. ³ You have already spent enough time in doing what the Gentiles like to do, living in licentiousness, passions, drunkenness, revels, carousing, and lawless idolatry. ⁴ They are surprised that you no longer join them in the same excesses of dissipation, and so they blaspheme.^{[h] 5} But they will have to give an accounting to him who stands ready to judge the living and the dead. ⁶ For this is the reason the gospel was proclaimed even to the dead, so that, though they had been judged in the flesh as everyone is judged, they might live in the spirit as God does.

Будьте всегда готовы ответить, когда вас спрашивают о вашей надежде, но делайте это с кротостью, страхом ¹⁶ и с чистой совестью, чтобы те, кто клевещет на вас и хулит ваше доброе поведение в Христе, были посрамлены. ¹⁷ Лучше уж страдать за добрые дела, если на то есть воля Божья, чем за злые. ¹⁸ Ведь и Христос пострадал за грехи один раз, праведный за неправедных, чтобы привести вас к Богу. 4 Итак, поскольку Христос пострадал телом, то и вы вооружитесь той же мыслью, ведь тот, кто страдал телесно, перестал грешить, ² чтобы остаток земной жизни прожить, руководствуясь уже не человеческими желаниями, а Божьей волей. ³ Вы достаточно долго вели образ жизни, какой ведут язычники, предаваясь распутству, страстям, пьянству, обжорству, оргиям и отвратительному идолопоклонству. ⁴ Поэтому язычники и удивляются, что вы больше не участвуете с ними в их распутстве, и злословят вас. ⁵ Но они ответят за все перед Тем, Кто готов судить живых и мертвых. ⁶ Поэтому Радостная Весть была возвещена и мертвым^[d], чтобы они, как и все люди, были телесно осуждены, но жили в духе, подобно тому, как живет Бог.

John 16:1-15 -- New Revised Standard Version

“I have said these things to you to keep you from stumbling. ² They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, an hour is coming when those who kill you will think that by doing so they are offering worship to God. ³ And they will do this because they have not known the Father or me. ⁴ But I have said these things to you so that when their hour comes you may remember that I told you about them.

The Work of the Spirit

“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. ⁵ But now I am going to him who sent me; yet none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ ⁶ But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts. ⁷ Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate^[a] will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. ⁸ And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about^[b] sin and righteousness and judgment: ⁹ about sin, because they do not believe in me; ¹⁰ about righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer; ¹¹ about judgment, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.
¹² “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. ¹³ When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. ¹⁴ He will glorify me, because he will take what is mine and declare it to you. ¹⁵ All that the Father has is mine. For this reason I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

 – Я говорю вам все это, чтобы вам не оказаться обманутыми. ² Вас отлучат от синагог, и даже наступит такое время, когда убивающие вас будут думать, что они тем самым служат Богу. ³ Они будут так поступать, потому что не знают ни Отца, ни Меня. ⁴ Я вас предупреждаю заранее, чтобы, когда это время наступит, вы вспомнили Мое предупреждение. Вначале Я не говорил вам этого, потому что Я Сам был с вами.

Учение Иисуса о Святом Духе

⁵ – А теперь ухожу к Тому, Кто послал Меня, но никто из вас уже и не спрашивает: «Куда Ты уходишь?». ⁶ Сердца ваши полны печали, потому что Я рассказал вам это.  

⁷ Но говорю вам истину: Я ухожу ради вашего же блага. Если Я не уйду, то Заступник не придет к вам, но если Я пойду, то пошлю Его к вам. ⁸ Когда Он придет, то обличит мир о грехе, о праведности и о суде: ⁹ о грехе, потому что они не верят в Меня, ¹⁰ о праведности, потому что Я ухожу к Моему Отцу, и вы Меня уже не увидите, ¹¹ о суде, потому что князь этого мира осужден.

¹² Многое Мне еще хотелось бы вам сказать, но сейчас вам не под силу это воспринять. ¹³ Вот когда Дух истины придет, Он введет вас во всю полноту истины. Он не будет говорить от Себя, но будет передавать то, что Сам слышит, и скажет вам, что должно произойти. ¹⁴ Он прославит Меня, потому что откроет вам то, что возьмет от Меня. ¹⁵ Все, что принадлежит Отцу, принадлежит Мне. Поэтому Я говорю, что Дух возвестит вам Мое.
